    The Committee on Finance moved to amend the bill on page three, section two-a, line twenty-nine, by striking out the words “Provided, That the next person appointed to this position following the reenactment of this section in 2013 shall be paid an annual salary not to exceed $175,000 at the discretion of the governor as provided in the budget” and inserting in lieu thereof a new proviso, to read as follows: “Provided, That effective July 1, 2013, the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Resources shall be paid an annual salary not to exceed $175,000”.
